Founded in 2017, Just Food is a social enterprise which combines commercial strategies and charitable activities for social impact.
It is a ready-to-cook organic local food outlet aimed at making local (Cameroonian and African) delicacies convenient and healthy. We strive to reduce cooking time and promote consumption of staple foods while encouraging healthy lifestyles through health promotion.
We enable people to take a creative approach to cooking which leaves them feeling fulfilled and healthy. Our commitment to meaningful health impact is as core to our business as the drive for profits.
In making our local delicacies ready-to-cook and healthy we;
- Ease the task of balancing work and family life for working women thereby improving their productivity at work;
- Contribute to post-harvest loss management thereby supporting small scale farmers who lack adequate storage facilities;
- Encourage healthy eating to tamper lifestyle factors which lead to non-communicable diseases;
- Encourage consumption of staple foods to sustain our cultural identity.
Our first product on the market is pre-wrapped, frozen and ready to cook ‘Ekwang’.
